Pianist and Vocalist Luis Giraldo hails from Bogotá, Colombia, where he toured with Grammy Award-winning acts Shakira and Andrés Cepeda before moving to Canada to call Vancouver his home. A true romantic, Giraldo is a an American and Latin American Songbook devotee. Along with all the well-recognized Sinatra/Martin/Bennett classics, he loves to perform romantic songs in his native Spanish, as well as Italian and Portuguese.
Giraldo has released two albums; “Day Dream”, an intimate and romantic collection of soft and mellow Jazz standards, and “It’s Always You”, a beautifully-crafted album of Jazz and Latin American standards with arrangements by Bill Coon, Jill Townsend, and Bill Runge, and featuring Vancouver’s most respected musicians, including Jodi Proznick trio, Bill Coon Trio, The Babayaga String Quartet, and many more.
