The ITALIAN FILM FESTIVAL (IFF)  is a unique collaboration of four organizations: Il Centro, the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, the Vancouver International Film Festival, and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada West, that have come together to launch Vancouver’s first film festival dedicated to raise awareness and promote all aspects of Italian cinema.Vancouver has long been a centre for film production and cinematic festivals but to date the Italian film legacy has not been independently highlighted. The inaugural Italian Film Festival will showcase 5 new films from Italy and 5 films from Italy’s historical repertoire of cinema.

Friday, JANUARY 10
The opening night will feature an exhibition of 18 of Fellini’s food drawings, live music with Roy & Rosemary, the 2013 documentary on Fellini “Federico of the Spirits” (two shows, at 6:00pm and at 6:30pm) and Fellini’s 1973 masterpiece, Amarcord, starting at 7:00pm. Before and after the screenings, there will be a reception with refreshments.
