Supporting the Italian Cultural through volunteerism is equally important to us as your generous financial support! Please consider joining our team and work with us “to promote Italian culture, values and heritage and to share these with other communities.”
Volunteer opportunities are available throughout our operations – from our successful social enterprise catering facility, to our regularly scheduled Bingo events, to our school, office, museum and library. Name your interest/passion and we’ll find you a worthwhile way to spend a few hours and give back to your community!
There are a number of benefits to volunteering with the Italian Cultural Centre:
- An opportunity to use existing skills in an altruistic setting;
- An opportunity to develop new skills in various areas of interest;
- An opportunity to meet new people and expand your network within a community with similar interests and passions;
- An opportunity to practice and improve your Italian language skills;
- A reference letter (upon request) following 24 hours volunteer work;
- A 1 year voting membership in the Italian Cultural Centre, once 24 hours of volunteer work have been achieved in the previous calendar year. This membership provides you with all the benefits of our general non-voting membership (various discounts), plus voting rights so that you can have a voice on the future of the Italian Cultural Centre.
