Knowing how to bake a cake from scratch is an essential life skill, at least for Italians! If you follow a vegan diet, or you are dairy or eggs intolerant, this is the class for you.

During this hands-on intimate workshop, you will learn how easy it can be to spoil your loved ones to delicious homemade treats that can be done in your kitchen with no fancy equipment. And because Italians are never able to have just one sweet, each class features three different pastries, which you will get to taste at the end of class and – if you manage not to devour them all – you will also take home for the unlucky ones who did not attend the workshop.

You will learn how to make three classic Italian pastries, in their dairy and egg free version: torta caprese (chocolate and almond cake), crostata, and ciambelline al vino (wine cookies).

Don’t forget to bring an apron and a clean container. Feel free to bring some wine!

Tickets sale ends the day before the event.

No cash refunds are available for this workshop. With at least 72 hours notice, we would be happy to provide a credit to use towards other workshops and selected Il Centro initiatives (please inquire).  If you give us less than 72 hours notice, we may be able to issue a credit if we can fill your seat from our waiting list, but there is no guarantee. No credit will be issued for no-shows: whether you are able to attend or not, the instructor still needs to be fairly compensated. All tickets are 100% transferable at any time – just provide your receipt to the person attending or let us know their name by phone or email.
