- Taste of Salento - Mar. 13
March 13, 2021
6:00 pm - 9:30 pm
TASTE OF… is our popular series of themed dinners that take our guests on a gastronomical trip across Italy. Spanning from the northern regions all the way down to the Mediterranean islands, our guests will be able to taste not only regional specialties, but also creative dishes inspired by the rich Italian culinary tradition.
On this evening, we explore the foodie highlights of Salento, the southern tip of the southern region of Puglia (Apulia), famous for its olive oil production, and for a cultural and touristic renaissance in the last 15 years. Many traditional salentini dishes surged to fame to become Italian staples, like orecchiette con le cime di rapa. Salento’s natural wonders are matched by the beauty of its many archeological sites, that reflect a long history of colonization that traces back to the ancient Greeks.
