Date & Time
- Taste of Piemonte - Jan. 30
January 30, 2021
6:00 pm - 9:30 pm
TASTE OF… is our popular series of themed dinners that take our guests on a gastronomical trip across Italy. Spanning from the northern regions all the way down to the Mediterranean islands, our guests will be able to taste not only regional specialties, but also creative dishes inspired by the rich Italian culinary tradition.
On this evening, we explore the foodie highlights of the north-western region of Piemonte. Surrounded by three mountain ranges (“Piemonte” can be literally translated as «at the foot of the mountains»), Piemonte is the birthplace for the House of Savoy, which became kings of Italy, making Turin the capital of Italy for a short time. During its history, Piedmont was also under French and Austrian influences, and they have left their imprint in the dialect and the cuisine of the region.
