Description and show trailer below:

Spellbound Contemporary Ballet returns to Chutzpah! with their full-length production of Carmina Burana, choreographed by company Artistic Director Mauro Astolfi. The combination of Astolfi’s skillful choreography and Spellbound’s exquisite dancers accompanied by the powerful music of Carl Orff, Antonio Vivaldi and V. Caracciolo, makes for a memorable audience experience.

In this telling, Carmina Burana touches on topics as familiar today as they were in the 13th century. From the turning of fortune’s wheel… to the fleeting nature of life… to joy in spring’s coming… to the pleasure of the senses… to the perils of greed. Such themes expressed through the physicality of dance showcases the restless, rebellious spirit of another time that we recognize in our own world.

Spellbound’s Carmina Burana has been performed all over Italy and has toured to Thailand, Cypress, Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Spain, Panama and South America.

“The impulses and the movements of the nine dancers on stage, with its explosive physicality, transport us to a world of the senses…” – Saltinaria.it
