PLEASE NOTE: THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED
Ennio Morricone was and will be, without a doubt, the most famous and prolific Italian composers of his time. When he passed away, on July 6, 2020, he had written more than 400 scores for cinema and television, and more than 100 classical works. His music donned more than 70 award-winning films, including unforgettable masterpieces such as Sergio Leone’s films (the Dollar Trilogy, and the Once upon a Time… movies), Giuseppe Tornatore’s Nuovo Cinema Paradiso, and then The Mission, The Untouchables, and Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight, which gained him an Academy Award for Best Original Score.
The Consulate General of Italy in Vancouver and il Centro are honoured to present an evening completely dedicated to Ennio Morricone, featuring a spaghetti western dinner followed by a live concert and presentation by Maestro Cos Natola, who will play and sing Morricone’s most popular songs, while providing a journey in Morricone’s life and career.
The menu will feature spaghetti with il Centro’s signature hand-made meatballs, salad, and garlic bread, plus a bottle of wine for each table of 6 people.
This menu is created specifically for this evening, and we politely decline all requests for substitutions or modifications. Additional wine and other alcoholic drinks are not included, but are available for purchase during the dinner.
Reservations are necessary. Doors open at 6:30 pm, dinner is served at 7:00 pm in family style.
A limited number of tickets is available for this socially distanced event, where every table can only host a maximum of 6 guests that are part of the same household or bubble, up to a maximum of 50 people for the entire event, staff included. Precautions will be taken to avoid the spread of Covid-19, following the restrictions and instructions from the BC Health Authority.
