Bring your love for chocolate to the next level joining Geoseph Domenichiello in this unique and intimate chocolate workshop. Geoseph will guide you trough the world of fine chocolate engaging all six of your senses, covering a great variety of topics, from the history of chocolate, to the process from bean to bar, from chocolate neurogastronomy, to professional tasting tools to become a chocolate tasting connoisseur. The tasting component will be a flight of five fine, single origin, dark chocolate and eight other cacao & chocolate related samples (vegan friendly!).
The purpose of the workshop is to help you become a smarter consumer, and a more satisfied chocolate eater. Remember, this is NOT for snobs, but for those who want to understand. No judgements here. Only good conversation and good chocolate. Come with questions, and an appetite.
Since we will be conducting a tasting, predominately using our nose and tongue, please keep the following in mind.
- Strong odours (Scents & perfumes, smoking, and poor hygiene)
- Strongflavoured foods (garlic, coffee, smoking etc.)
- A heavy meal 2 hours beforehand. Come hungry!
Geoseph Domenichiello has over a decade of experience working as a chocolate sommelier & award-winning chocolatier. His background in gastronomy, biology, and the arts join forces to bring forth an insightful and unique perspective into the world of chocolate. He has worked for fine chocolateries in Toronto, Vancouver, and New Zealand, sharing his chocolate and knowledge wherever he goes. His mission is to educate you, the consumer, with the facts. In doing so, we can direct a future of chocolate that encourages exceptional flavour, superior quality, and improved welfare for all those involved.
